ENTERPRISE, Ala. — As the search for 2-year-old Genesis Nova Reid continues, new developments in court and ongoing investigative efforts were announced by the Enterprise Police Department.
Mother Appears in Court
Genesis’ mother, Adrienne Reid, appeared Tuesday afternoon via video conference before Coffee County District Judge Josh Wilson. The court set bond at $1,000,000 cash only.
If bond is posted, Reid must comply with strict conditions of release, including GPS monitoring, participation in a court referral program with active drug screening, daily check-ins at the Enterprise Police Department, and remaining in Coffee County unless granted court permission. Until bond is posted, she will remain in custody at the Coffee County Jail.
Ongoing Search Efforts
Search operations continued with assistance from East Alabama K9 Search and Recovery. A certified cadaver K9 searched a significant area surrounding the child’s residence. Authorities reported that the search did not yield items of evidentiary value.
Enterprise Police Chief Michael Moore described the K9 deployment as a standard investigative measure used to rule out the immediate area around the apartment complex. He stated investigators were encouraged by the absence of findings and emphasized that search efforts remain active and methodical.
Targeted searches and the pursuit of all credible leads are ongoing as the focus remains on locating Genesis.
Community Appeal for Information
Authorities are urging anyone who may have had a personal relationship or social interaction with Adrienne Reid between December 24, 2025, and February 16, 2026, to come forward. Investigators noted that even minor details could prove significant.
Chief Moore expressed appreciation for the numerous tips already received from the public. Digital billboards displaying information about Genesis have also been placed along Boll Weevil Circle to increase awareness.
Prayer Vigil Planned
As the investigation continues, community members have organized a Prayer Vigil for Genesis to be held on February 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Enterprise City Hall.
Residents are encouraged to attend, dress in pink, and bring candles or flashlights as a symbol of hope and unity.
Official Reminder
The public is reminded that spreading rumors or unverified information on social media can hinder investigative efforts. The Enterprise Police Department remains the official source of confirmed information and will continue providing updates as warranted.
Anyone with information regarding Genesis’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Enterprise Police Department at (334) 347-2222.
