ENTERPRISE, Ala. — The search remains underway for 2-year-old Genesis Nova Reid as investigators continue working to determine the child’s whereabouts.
What We Know So Far
According to information released by the Enterprise Police Department, Genesis was reported missing at approximately 3:10 a.m. on February 16. Police said the child’s mother, Adrienne Reid, 33, reported that Genesis was missing and that the front door of their residence was open.
Authorities stated that an initial search of the surrounding area did not produce information about the child’s location. As detectives continued the investigation, police said they identified inconsistencies in the information provided, which led to a more intensive investigative effort.
Prior Incident Reported by WTVY
In a separate report, WTVY News detailed a prior criminal case involving Adrienne Reid.
According to charging documents cited by WTVY, Reid was accused in 2017 of attacking her mother with what police described as a sharp instrument. Officer Zeneth Glenn of the Ozark Police Department responded to the January 3, 2017 call and reported that the victim sustained cuts to both arms, including a five-inch wound that required emergency medical treatment.
WTVY reported that Reid was initially charged with a felony. Court records show she later pleaded guilty to a reduced misdemeanor charge. A judge suspended a 12-month sentence and ordered two years of unsupervised probation. The victim recovered from her injuries.
This prior case is separate from the current investigation into the disappearance of Genesis Nova Reid.
Mother Charged
On February 17, Enterprise Police announced that Adrienne Reid was charged with False Reporting to Law Enforcement Authorities, a Class C felony, in connection with the circumstances surrounding the missing-child report. Police confirmed she is being held without bond.

At this time, Genesis Nova Reid’s whereabouts remain unknown.
