Everyday parenting such as taking a cellphone, grounding a child after missed school, or enforcing discipline after defiance is being twisted into allegations. Teenagers now threaten parents with DHR or the police. Correction is turned into abuse. In some cases, teens lash out physically, yet parents are told they cannot defend themselves.
This is not pressure on parents. It is an attack on family itself. Grandparents who step in are pulled into the same cycle. Aunts and uncles become targets. Anyone who dares to stand in the gap is left vulnerable to false accusations and shallow investigations. The system is more concerned with compliance than truth.
Houston County DHR has chosen the easy road. They answer rebellion with rubber stamps. Workers walk into schools with no verification, no real investigation, only a willingness to escalate conflict. In doing so, they fuel the very delinquency they claim to stop.
