The CPS Policy Library Is Now Live

0

For too long, parents and advocates have been told to trust the process without ever being shown the rules. They have been silenced, redirected, or told that everything being done to them was “just policy.” But rarely, if ever, are those policies made clear.

That changes today. We have officially launched a national CPS Policy Library. It is a public directory containing the official child protective services policy manuals from every state in the country. These are the actual documents that caseworkers, supervisors, attorneys, and family court judges rely on every day.

Now they are in your hands too.

What You Will Find

This page is not speculation or hearsay. It is a direct archive of publicly available rules from state governments and child welfare agencies. You will find:

  • Alabama’s CPS due process and emergency removal policy
  • Official child protection procedures from all 50 states
  • Guidelines on safety plans, investigations, removals, and parental rights
  • Legal definitions and rulebooks that DHR and CPS are supposed to follow

Every link on the page leads to the rules written by the system itself. These are not rumors. These are not guesses. These are their own words, written into policy and law.

Why It Matters

When a parent walks into court without knowing the law, they are at a disadvantage. When CPS makes claims about “following policy,” most families have no idea how to verify what that means.

This library changes that.

It gives parents the ability to fact-check what they are told, to present evidence, to challenge the record, and to learn the same rules CPS claims to follow. It puts information into the hands of the people who need it most: families, not just lawyers.

Visit the Policy Library

We created a dedicated page on our site to house these materials permanently. You can access it at:

👉 familiesvsdhr.org/state-policy-links

Bookmark it. Share it. Use it when you write motions, prepare for court, or advocate for your child. And if you come across a broken link or a policy we should add, let us know.

This page will continue to grow over time.

Final Word

Knowing the law does not make you difficult. It makes you powerful.

This library is for every parent who has been ignored, intimidated, or left in the dark. You are no longer alone, and now, you are no longer uninformed.

The truth is public. The rules are written. And now, they are accessible to everyone.
